Samba Canasta Card Group


Group Description :
Canasta and Samba Canasta are both great games. Samba Canasta is a newer version of Canasta.
Ideally it would be best to try both games  and then decide which one you prefer.

The main difference between between the 2 games is  - traditional Canasta is played  with 2 packs of cards, where as  Samba Canasta is played with 3 packs of cards. The extra pack provides the opportunity to gain extra points thus keeping the game faster moving.

That's why we encourage potential members to have a taster session. Just call in to the Atheneum on the dates specified and have a go! You'll be made very welcome.

The U3a Samba Canasta Card Group is very popular and has been running since well before pre-covid. The group always welcomes new members ( beginners ).
Group to meet on the 2nd. and 4th. Thursday mornings of each month.11am - 1.pm. 
It will be in the downstairs room at the Athenaeum, so it is accessible to all.

Upstairs kitchen with kettle, get Tea & Coffee from downstairs kitchen,, members asked not to carry hot drinks upstairs..
