This is a group for both singers and players of acoustic instruments alike. As a member, being able to read music or play an instrument is not a prerequisite - simply bring your love of music. Singers are especially welcome! Enjoy sharing music making - with traditional folk music, sea shanties and popular songs from around the world, from the 17th century right up to the modern day.
We now meet at 10:00 for 2 hours (with a short break in the middle) on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. However, the doors are open from about 9:30am as many like to warm up their instruments and socialise before we get down to business. At 12 o'clock a subset of the group (primarily recorders) work on Early Music dance tunes for half an hour.
We meet in the Centenary Room at St. Stephen's Church in Elton, BL8 2PU on Belbeck Street, (just off the A58). We'd love to have you join us.
